Google Publication Ads Launched, Invitation Only

As you may already know, Google have already experimented with print ads. Last night they took the idea a step further, and silently launched launched Google Publication Ads for AdWords publishers:
Google Publication Ads enables you to place ads in print publications, allowing your advertising to reach an audience that's targeted to the demographics and topics you choose.
In traditional Google style, the service is labelled as BETA, and only available by special invitation:
